We are in the midst of potty training Gabby...and she is doing awesome!!! I am so proud of her. I have had her in panties since last week Thursday. She has had a few accidents, but over all she is doing great. For the last 2 days, she has even gone poop on the potty all by herself, she doesn't even ask, she just goes!! I still put her in a diaper for naps and night time, but she has woken up from several naps with a dry diaper. My soon to be sister-in-law, Anne, was up for a visit this weekend and we had a family dinner on Saturday night. The girls modeled their flower girl dresses for her...
They are such little princesses...they love to try on the dresses and show everyone!
My brother was also here for a few days this past week and we got to spend some time with him too. We went swimming at my parents pool quite a bit this week because it has been SO hot!! Megan is getting more brave in the water every time we go to the pool. She holds on to the side of the pool and goes all the way around, of course, wearing her life jacket! I have to remember to bring the camera one of these times to get some pictures. On Saturday, I went on a little morning date with Gabby. Megan and Marty stayed home with daddy. Gabby was SO excited to have some time with me all to herself! It was really special. We just went to Tim Horton's for a treat and then to Toys R Us and Walmart. I bought her a placemat for the table, as she is out of the high chair now and also some new panties!! Oh, and it was SO easy to only have one child, I forget what that was like:)We took the kids to the park one evening last week and they had a blast! Even Marty went down the slide with me for the first time!(click on the picture to see Marty up close...he looks a little shocked!)
I'm looking forward to this weekend...Jeff has Friday and Monday off!! It will be nice to have him around. And I'm sure will have to go to the pool a few times as it's supposed to be hot outside!
Some of my girl friends and I had a little girls night last night to watch the finale of Bachelorette. We had such a fun time together without our kids!! Jeff stayed home with the kids and he did great, as I knew he would!! He is such a great daddy and kids love to hang out with him. I am so blessed to have him for my hubby and a daddy for Megs, Gabs and Marty!

Tiny blessings!!
My parents moved into their new place at the beginning of this month and they are doing a bunch of renovations. It's really coming along and looks great! We have been there quite a bit to help them out. They have a swimming pool in their complex and it's SO nice!! The water is like bathtub temperature. I forgot to get some pictures in the pool...but the girls had such a fun time. They keep asking to go back now!!The girls enjoying some ice cream on grandma and grandpa's new patio!
Here's Gabby feeding her baby...so cute!!Marty being his cute little self, right after a nap!!
The other day, I put Marty in his seat so I could get supper ready and I went to check on him a few minutes later and this is how I found him...
I guess he is growing out of some of his baby stuff. I even raised the rail on his crib a few weeks ago...wow, how times flies! He's 5 months old today and I was just thinking that in one month we can start feeding him food. It's time to move Gabby from the high chair into a booster seat!We have been having such HOT weather lately...we are spending a lot of time outside! The kids are loving it. I brought out the slip 'n slide the other day and the girls were in heaven. Gabby was a little unsure of the cold water at first, but it didn't take long for her to get in it.Marty was enjoying watching the girls play in the backyard...Meggie loves to draw on the pavement with her sidewalk chalk, this is a picture she drew yesterday of me!! I was pretty impressed with her art skills...she's learning from her daddy.
We have had so many friends have babies lately and we are so excited for them! Daryl and Becca had a boy(Jace) and girl(Mia) almost 2 weeks ago, Virgil and Angela had a baby girl(Abigail) last week and Derek and Colleen had a baby boy(Jacob) on Wednesday. We are so happy for all of them and so thankful for these little blessings!!
Megan and Gabby have been asked to be flower girls for Curt and Anne's wedding in October. Jeff's mom and I went shopping this morning and found some really cute dresses!! I can't wait to see the girls walk down the aisle together. Oh, and of course I can't wait to see beautiful Anne in her dress too!!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

Family Vacation
Just a warning....there are LOTS of pictures!!
This past weekend we took a little family vacation. We have made it an annual tradition to go down to Oroville in the summer. Jeff's great-aunt and uncle have a house on Osoyoos Lake. They have a basement suite in the house and we get the whole suite to ourselves. Usually the whole family comes, but only Jeff's parents and our little family were there this year. We sure missed Eric and Traci and Curt:( Hopefully next year they will all be able to come.Jeff and his dad enjoying a little boat ride!We left on Friday morning and got to the house about 11am. I didn't know if we would have trouble at the border because we only have a birth certificate for Marty, not a passport yet. The customs officier was awesome, probably the nicest one we have ever had and it was no problem getting across.Grandma bought the kids this floaty and it was a big hit...After lunch on Friday, Jeff and I headed out to the grocery store to get some stuff. I love how cheap some things are in the States, especially cheese!!! The littles ones had their naps and then we played in the lake until dinner time. It was so relaxing. The weather was really HOT all weekend, so it was a good thing we had the lake to cool off in. The girls had a blast building sand castles and making "soup".
The girls LOVED running up and down the dock and chasing each other. They had so much fun!!Jeff and I made dinner that night and then we bathed the kids and put them to bed. They went to bed pretty good. We put them down about 7pm and I think they fell asleep about 8pm...not bad!! Neither of the girls napped that day, so they were tired. The adults hung out on the beach in the evening and ate s'mores and then mom and dad and I finished the evening with a game of dutch blitz!!
The kids slept really well at night, considering all 5 of us were in the same room. They only thing was they were up about 5AM!!!! It was really bright in the suite and they thought it was time to wake up. Jeff got up with the girls and I stayed in bed until Marty needed to be fed.Megan was so tired in the afternoon, she fell asleep in the lounger with Jeff!!These pictures were taken by Jeff at probably around 6AM when the girls were wide awake! So beautiful...this is the view from our suite! All day Saturday, we hung out at the beach and did more relaxing. Mom and I went to Prince's for a few things in the morning. Marty enjoyed some of his naps in the stroller on the beach. He is such a good boy and will sleep just about anywhere. I love that!
We had a very yummy BBQ'd dinner on Saturday made by mom and dad!! Saturday was July 4th and we saw a ton of fireworks down there. Jeff and I went and sat on the dock after the kids had gone to bed and watched fireworks all around the lake. It went on for SO long, but it was fun to watch! We went to bed around 10:30pm and the fireworks were still going on.
On Sunday, mom made us an awesome waffle breakfast, complete with custard and strawberries!! We hung around until noon and then headed home. I had a pounding headache on the way home and started to feel pretty nauseous. Jeff unloaded the boat at his parents place and I stayed inside and lied down and had a shower and then I felt a bit better. All in all, it was a great weekend!!!
Jeff and his dad also picked up our new mattress for our bed that we ordered. We were so excited to sleep on it last night and it is awesome!! Neither of us had sore backs when we woke up:)
In other news....Jeff's little brother, Curt is engaged to Anne. We are so excited for them!! The wedding will be Thanksgiving weekend in Victoria. Should be an interesting trip for us with 3 little ones!! I am thrilled to have another sister-in-law:)
I hope you made it this far...I just had so many pictures that I wanted to post:)
