I know I am posting again so soon, but we have some really exciting news!! Jeff's older brother, Eric is engaged to Traci. They got engaged about a week ago, but they did not tell us until Boxing Day when we got to meet Traci for the first time. We knew this would be happening soon, I just wasn't expecting it that day:) We are SO thrilled for them and I'm so excited to have another sister-in-law to hang out with. They are planning a May wedding. You guys make an awesome couple and we couldn't be happier for you!!! We love you.

Christmas celebrations!!

Okay, where do I start!! We have had a super busy, but fun week. We had a fantastic Christmas with friends and family. Last Saturday we headed out to Chilliwack with my parents for Christmas at Carm & Paul's place. The roads were quite bad going out there and we even considered turning around and going back home. We managed to keep going and we got held up around Hope because there had been an accident and that added about 2 1/2 hours to our trip!! The girls did amazing, thanks to the portable DVD player our friends lent us. We left home about 9am and we got to my sister's place around 3pm. Megan did not sleep in the car and so she missed her nap for the day and she was still happy.
We had a great couple of days at my sister's place and it was very relaxing! I spent quite a bit of time in their hottub. It was SO nice! Kirsten came out on Saturday in the afternoon and evening. It was so great to see her again. We always have such a good time together. On Sunday morning we opened presents and then in the afternoon my grandma and aunt and uncle came out for a Christmas dinner. Megan was such a good helper during the gift opening. She handed out all the gifts to people and she loved it!! We came home on Monday and the roads were great! We managed to get home in a little over 3 hours. On Christmas Eve, Jeff's family came over and we had a fondue. So much fun!! Megan was so excited to be with her uncles. On Christmas morning, we just opened gifts at home and hung out together just the 4 of us. I had made wifesaver and we had that for breakfast. Megan was cute opening her gifts and she was so grateful...after each present she would come up to us and hug us and say "thank you". What a good girl!! Around lunch, we went over to Jeff's parents place and hung out with the family and the girls had their naps there. We played games and then we had a very delicious dinner! Opa came over as well and we got some cute pictures with Opa and the girls. On Boxing day, we went to see our dear friends, Derek and Colleen's brand new baby girl!! She was born about 6 weeks early and she so tiny and cute!! Her name is Sarah and she was just under 5 lbs. I couldn't believe how small she looked, especially compared to Gabby. We are so happy for them and look forward to getting to know Sarah. I am so glad they had a girl and now our girls will have another girl to play with!! (I don't have a picture of her downloaded yet, but I will post it next time).

We also got to meet Eric's girlfriend, Traci for the first time. She flew in from Portland and is here for about 4 days. She is such a sweetheart and we have really enjoyed hanging out with her. She is so much fun and a perfect match for Eric!!This morning, Jeff and I went shopping for a couple of hours. Jeff's dad came over and watched the girls. I was looking for a new pair of jeans, but I didn't have any luck today:( Tonight we are having a bunch of friends over for the evening. We will just hang out and maybe play some games and eat, eat, eat!!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!!

Merry Christmas!!

Our internet was down all weekend, so I wasn't able to blog then:( We had a really busy, but fun week!! Last Wednesday was my work Christmas get together...we went to a restaurant and had appies and drinks. Then on Thursday night I had my cookie exchange with some girl friends. It was fun and we had lots of yummy food!! And on Friday night we had Jeff's work Christmas party. We even stayed out until 11:30pm!! That's super late for us, but we had a good time. It was strange to be out that much in one week, but it was fun. Although, by Saturday I was totally exhausted from the lack of sleep:( The girls did really well for Jeff and his parents, as they babysat on Friday night. Megan likes to "hold" Gabby and she's not a big fan of it:(
On Sunday night, Jeff's brother, Curt came home from Winnipeg. We spent the evening together and then he stayed the night. The boys stayed up late playing video games! Meggie was excited to see uncle Curt again and he bought her this super cute hoodie.
Cuddles with Uncle Curt!!

On Monday, Jeff, Curt, the girls and I went shopping to get some of Curt's Christmas shopping done. It was good that we went in the morning as I'm sure the mall would be packed by the afternoon. It was so nice to have Jeff home that extra day...and he made us a really nice breakfast in the morning. What a good husband!! I am looking forward to him being home the whole week between Christmas and New Years!!

I can't believe that Christmas Day is only one week away. This month has gone by so fast! We leave on Saturday to go to my sister's place for the weekend. I hope the girls travel well...we have borrowed a portable DVD player from our friends for the trip! We will stay there until Monday and be back home for Christmas Eve.

Gabby is starting to get around. She is not crawling yet, but she wiggles her way around. She seems to be getting frustrated sometimes when she can't get something she wants. I don't think it will be long until she is crawling. I can't believe how fast my baby is growing!
Here is Meggie in her new Christmas outfit from Ama and Papa Beep. Jeff thinks she looks like a catholic school girl!!
Yesterday Jeff went to our friends house and did a little electrical work there. He decided to take Meggie along for fun. The job didn't go very smoothly so they stayed longer then he expected. He and Megan didn't get home until about 7:15pm. And Megs was a little wired when she got home so it took her about an hour to fall asleep. She had so much at their house and she got to watch Cinderella and help make cookies and snacks. She was in heaven!!

Megan is loving being out in the snow this year! Especially if she gets to use her shovel. My parents gave her this little shovel just the right size for her. She loves to shovel with daddy. It's so cute to watch!!

I'll leave you with this cute picture of Meggie....

She has a little problem with "plumbers crack" in these jeans:)

Merry Christmas to everyone!! May we all truly celebrate the birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ this holiday season.

Last weekend we celebrated Ama dog's birthday. Ama and Papa came over for dinner on Saturday night and then after the kids went to bed we watched a movie. It was a good time!!
I thought that we were getting over our colds now, but Gabby seems to have a snotty nose now...it's seems never ending:( Gabby has been a little fussy because of the cold, but she still sleeps great - from 8pm to 8am. I'm happy with that!! Megan is having some difficulty going to sleep at night. She usually comes out of her room a couple of times and wants to be tucked back in. We put her to bed about 7:30, but I don't think she goes to sleep until about 8:30pm. Oh well!! She has been sleeping good through the night.
We didn't do anything too exciting this week. But, this coming week we are going to be busy. I have a work Christmas party (even though I don't work anymore!!) on Wednesday night and on Thursday night I have a cookie exchange with some girl friends, and then Friday night we have Jeff's work Christmas Party. Busy, but fun!! And then on Sunday, Jeff's brother Curt, comes home for the Christmas holidays. We are very excited to see him again!!
Yesterday we had a playdate with some of Meggie's friends and we made Gingerbread houses. The kids had a blast!! Although I think they were more interested in eating the candies, than in making the houses. I think the gingerbread house is a little tempting for Meggie because everytime she looks at it she asks to have a "fartie" (smartie). This morning she asked to have one even before breakfast!!
On Thursday evening, we went out shopping!! Jeff has been researching digital cameras for about a year now and so we finally bought one. Then we headed to the mall and had a quick dinner and shopped for some new "dressy" clothes for Jeff. He needs a new outfit for his Christmas party. We got him some new stylish jeans from American Eagle and a brown dress shirt. They look great on him!!
We had a couple of really warm days this past week and so the girls and I played out on the deck on the swing. Gabby hasn't been in it too much yet and she LOVED it!! She would laugh and smile the whole time.

These pictures are from Gabby's dedication day!!I can't wait to have the girls in their Christmas outfits and get some pictures!! They are so beautiful.

Snow...and other things!!

We had our first snowfall this past Tuesday and it is so beautiful!! Although, it is very cold today about -9 degrees. I was in the Christmas spirit once I saw the snow and so Meggie and I put up the Christmas decorations! Meggie was quite excited about all the decorations, but she didn't really know what to do with them. But, after putting a few on the tree, she got the hang of it! After Gabby woke up from her nap, I put on her little santa outfit from uncle Loren and Aunty Alicia...she has almost out grown it. I'm starting to get excited about Christmas now and it's only 25 days away!!
We had Gabby dedicated at church last Sunday and it was very special. She did really well, even when the pastor held her. She just kind of gave him a look like "who are you?" I have no pictures from the dedication because we couldn't take pictures, but our parents have lots and I will have to get copies from them. But, Gabby looked so cute, she was wearing her little red and black Christmas dress!! We had so many friends and family there and I feel so blessed to be surrounded by so many people who love us and our little girls!!
Gabby now has 2 teeth. Her second bottom tooth showed up last week. I think those tiny teeth are so cute, except for when she bites me while I'm breastfeeding her...not so fun:( She has started to become a little more demanding lately. She is not as happy just playing on her own now, she wants to be held more. I think she might be a little frustrated too, because she can not move to get her toys when they are out of reach. I think she will probably be crawling soon.

Can you see those 2 little teeth on the bottom??Today, I am going for a haircut and I'm quite excited about that. I haven't had a haircut since February and I'm so tired of my hair these days:( Tonight, we are celebrating mom Vogt's birthday. Megan has gone to their house today to "help" ama decorate her Christmas tree. She is going to hopefully have a nap there and then they will come back over to our house for dinner and the evening. We want to wish you ama (dog) a very special birthday and hope you have a great day!! We love you so much!!
