Beach days!

The girls just being cute!!

The last few weeks have just flown by. I can hardly remember what we have been up to:) This past weekend was a long weekend for Jeff, he had 4 days off in a row. It was so nice to have him home and we did lots of fun stuff as a family! The weather was so nice and HOT this weekend, so we enjoyed a few days at the beach.
We pulled out the ladybug pool and the sprinkler for the girls this weekend and they loved it! Even though the water was still cold, they just jumped right in. Jeff and I enjoyed sitting in the shade watching the girls...although the neighbour's swimming pool was looking really good on those hot days!
Last Sunday, we went to the beach with some friends and just hung out and everyone brought a picnic supper. It was so fun to be together and the kids had a blast. Jeff bought the girls a little dingy for the water. Megan wasn't too sure about it at first, but she got used to it. Gabby was pretty happy in it, until she got splashed in the face with water:(
Then on Monday, just the four of us went to a little beach and again brought supper there. It was a little cloudy, but still very warm. It looked like a storm was moving in and we saw some lightning in the distance. We were there for a little over an hour and all the sudden it started pouring rain!!! We were running to the car to get the girls inside and running to get our stuff from the beach...it was quite an adventure!
Yesterday we had a playdate with a bunch of friends at our house. The kids loved to play in the kiddie pool and the sprinkler once again! All the 3 year olds play so nicely together and it's so cute to watch them interact together. Of course, we are the only ones with girls:)

Tonight, Jeff and I are going out to celebrate Derek's 30th birthday! Jeff's parents are going to babysit and we so appreciate you guys doing this for us! Meggie and Gabs are excited to spend time with Ama and Papa! It will be nice to not have to rush home for the girls bedtime:) I hope you all have a great weekend!!
