Busy Little Girl

On Saturday night we had a birthday dinner for Jeff's dad. Megan helped me make a special birthday card for him. She used her crayons and did some coloring inside. It was really cute!! I have been trying to teach her to say "happy birthday".

Then on Sunday we had a birthday party for one of Megan's little friends. The party was at Scandia (a mini golf and arcade place). The kids had pizza and birthday cake! They all got tokens to go on rides or play games. Megan was scared of some of the games and we had lots of tokens left over. Megan and her friends really enjoyed the birthday cake!!

On Sunday afternoon we went to Derek and Colleen's for a little bit and saw their new puppy "buddy". He is really cute!! Megan was a little unsure of him. I don't know why because she is not scared of Molly and she is bigger than Buddy. On Sunday evening my good friend got baptized and it was really neat to be there. Lots of her non-christian friends came!!

This is a dress I wore when I was one. Megan was not cooperating when I tried to put it on her. I wanted to get a picture of her in the dress and compare it to my picture. I think I waited a little too long to put her in it. It's a little small on her! Oh well.

Megan has been napping a little better these days. On Sunday and Wednesday she napped for 2 hours straight. The other days were somewhere between 1 and 2 hours. I'm hoping we get into some kind of routine with naps before the baby comes!

Yesterday, both my parents had the day off work and Megs and I went to their house. We went for a walk because it was so nice and sunny out. We took Megs to the park and Ama and Papa loved playing on the swings and slides with her!

I don't have any pictures from the park because I forgot my camera. Oh well, maybe next time I will remember!

Doctor's Visit

Well, I had another doctor's appointment today. I have to go every 2 weeks now, as the "day" is getting closer!! I only gained 2 pounds in the last 2 weeks and I was very excited about that. My doctor said that the baby is in the breech position right now, but it is still too early to tell if it will stay that way. I hope and pray that it turns itself around!!

Then we had Megan's swimming lessons again today. She was not too happy to be in the cold pool. After about 10 minutes in the cold pool, she said to me "all done". Then we went into the warm kiddie pool and she had a blast. She just doesn't like to be cold. Sounds like me!! She gets a little distracted at swimming lessons because she is so busy watching the other kids in the pool. I saw 2 other pregnant women at the pool today, so I didn't feel so alone!

Jeff and I didn't do anything special for Valentine's day yesterday. We made dinner together and just hung out in the evening. Maybe we will go out for dinner one of these nights, when it's not so busy. Tonight we are having friends over to watch Survivor. I can't believe I am still addicted to that show after 8 years, or however long it's been on.

Lazy Weekend

This weekend was uneventful for us. On Friday night Jeff's parents came over for Chinese Food and a movie. On Saturday morning we ran errands and in the afternoon we went for a long walk, as the weather was so nice!! In the evening we went to church and I tried again to leave Megan in the nursery, she only lasted about 10 mintues! I will keep trying every week. She likes the nursery with all the toys and other kids, but she just wants mommy or daddy to be in the room with her.
Today we have just hung out at home and this afternoon we will head over to my parents house for dinner. They just got home from Cuba this week and so we have to catch up! Megs always loves to see Ama and Papa.

Lately, I have been very frustrated with Megan's naps. She sleeps really well at night usually from 7:30pm to 7:30am. But in the day I can only get her to sleep for ONE hour. I feel like I have tried everything! She wakes up very unhappy and will not go back to sleep. I know that she is still tired, but she just cries and cries!! I hear about all these other kids who nap for 2-3 hours in the day and I am jealous!! If anyone has any advice for me I would be grateful. I was just hoping that with the baby coming, I would get more of a break in the day. Maybe I will just have to live with this!?!?!


Megs has been obsessed with the baby lately, she always wants to hug and kiss my belly. I hope she likes the baby when he/she comes out!!

Megan starts swimming lessons again this week. She loves swimming and playing in the water. I'm more concerned about myself being in a swimsuit and 7 months pregnant!!
I guess I will be under the water most of the time!!

New to blogging

I am new to this whole blogging world, but I thought I better get into.
I have a wonderful husband, Jeff and a beautiful 20 month old daughter
Megan. We are expecting our second baby in April. We are very excited
about this, but also scared at the same time, as 2 seems like so much
more than one. So, we will see how this goes!! I will keep you posted.
I will try to download some pictures soon of our family.
